DanceEast interviews Steve Flory, Managing Director, Hudson Signs and Suffolk Offset
September 2011
Many of the projects that DanceEast undertakes would not be possible without the support of local businesses. Long standing supporter Steve Flory of Hudson Signs and Suffolk Offset talks about his relationship with DanceEast.
What does your business do?
Hudson Signs provides signage solutions to all types of business across the Eastern region. Suffolk Offset provides print solutions, from business cards to brochures!
How long have you been a supporter of the Jerwood DanceHouse?
We have supported the Jerwood DanceHouse right from the outset and its initial build. We are very pleased to help wherever and however we can, it’s a great facility that Ipswich can be very proud of.
What benefits has your association brought to your business?
We constantly refer to our association when we are with other clients. Showing them work we have completed in a contemporary space such as the studios at the DanceHouse allows them to think differently about what they are trying to achieve.
Why do you feel it is important to support DanceEast?
If this town is to develop and the waterfront flourish then we must make these ventures a success, and the only way to do that is to be there when needed and help whenever it is possible. These are world class facilities that we must cherish and develop to ensure the success of the region.
Would you recommend becoming a Business Patron to other local businesses?
Absolutely, we have enjoyed every minute of it! I never thought I would see myself watching Portuguese percussionists in be-dom! But it was great!!!
What’s the best thing about being a Business Patron?
Being involved first hand with a fantastic facility and some fantastic people.
What are you looking forward to at the DanceHouse this autumn?
I think I would have to say Men in Skirts!!!!
Steve was one of 13 local businessmen who were sponsored to walk down the catwalk as part of the Night & Day Fashion Show which took place in September 2011.
