Dance on Prescription
The Dance Menu
When you have been referred to the programme by your Doctor you will be given a free Dance on Prescription DanceCard which can be used on any of the weekly dance classes which run at the Jerwood DanceHouse. Below is a selection of the classes on offer:

Gentle dance technique combining martial arts, tai chi and yoga.

Simple ballet exercises and short sequences.

Legs, Bums and Tums
1 - 2pm
High impact aerobic warm up with lower body exercises.
Egyptian Belly
Dance Beginners
2.30 - 3.45pm
A fun and sociable dance class.
Wednesday
Adult Tap Beginners
6.30 - 7.30pm
Simple tap for all fitness levels.
Time to Dance
6.30 - 7.45pm
Over 50’s fitness dance class.
Thursday
Zumba

Beginners
1 - 2pm
An energetic Latin workout.
BOKWA

5.30 - 6.15pm
Lively class set to African, Latin and house rhythms.
Yoga
8 - 9.30pm
Yoga helps to develop and maintain strength and flexibility.
Friday
Pilates
2 - 3.15pm
A gentle form of exercise, with some movements taking place on mats.
Zumba

An energetic Latin workout.

Commercial Hip Hop
11.30am - 12.45pm
A dance class, suitable for all levels, with hip hop routines to popular chart hits.

is an exciting performance opportunity designed specifically for schools and colleges across the county. It provides a chance for young people and children from Suffolk to showcase their talent in dance to a wide audience.
