We are looking for a friendly and motivated individual to join our busy Front of House team which plays a crucial role in promoting DanceEast’s year round programme of activities, developing audiences and supporting fundraising.

Each placement will include an insight into several departments within the organisation including Front of House, Technical, Marketing and Development and Creative teams. Successful placements will be set creative tasks and have the opportunity to speak to staff about careers in dance and the arts. Please note, this is an office based role and recommended to those who are interested in finding out and experiencing what it means to make dance happen!
We will be offering two placements this year. The dates for the placements revolve around our calendar of projects, to ensure a greater insight into what we do. The dates are:
Tuesday 4 – Saturday 8 April 2017 (Year 10 – 13 or the equivalent)
Monday 17 – Friday 21 July 2017 (Year 10 only)

We are recruiting Volunteers to add to our portfolio of Assistants for our Dance for Parkinson’s classes. The classes are held at the Jerwood DanceHouse, in partnership with English National Ballet.
English National Ballet’s Dance for Parkinson’s programme is a high quality dance class delivered within a professional dance studio with live music for people with Parkinson’s, their family, friends and carers. Based on English National Ballet’s contemporary and classical repertoire, the dance classes provide a fun and informal way for participants to discover the themes, choreography and music of the ballets.
You will have the chance to develop your knowledge, skills and experience of dance for people with Parkinson’s throughout the programme. You will have the opportunity to work alongside English National Ballet’s specialist dance artist and musician, and to assist where necessary. Additionally, you will be invited to accompany theatre visits and cultural activities as part of the Dance for Parkinson’s programme.
