Community Dance Artist

 
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to be responsible for practical dance development on a wide range of education and community outreach projects involving people of all ages and abilities.  The role will include leading youth dance groups and  projects with a range of leading artists and companies visiting the new Jerwood DanceHouse in Ipswich and the Eastern Region in general.
 
The successful candidate will be a committed and qualified dance practitioner with significant experience in running community dance projects and working with people of all ages and abilities in a range of different settings.
 
Access to your own vehicle and a clean driving licence is essential.  This is a full time role although a job share arrangement may be considered.

Teaching Assistant - Cambridge
  • Male or Female, 18yrs+
  • 3 November 2010 to 25 May 2011, 4.45 - 8.15pm (Academy Kidz and Academy)
  • 8 June to 06 July 2011, 6.15 - 8.15pm TBC (Academy only)
  • Required weekly on a Wednesday, during term time only
  • £6 p/h
  • Must be CRB checked (within the last two years)
  • Experience in teaching desirable but not essential. Must have experience in contemporary dance. First aid desirable
  • Interview with Academy Manager and trial class with Academy students, in Ipswich one Sunday in September/October 2010 - Exact date TBC

Freelance opportunities


DanceEast is always happy to receive CV's from freelance dance teachers, choreographers and practitioners. CV's are kept on file for six months, and you will be contacted if an appropriate vacancy becomes available. DanceEast insists that all teachers have full CRB checks that have been obtained within the last two years, along with individual public liability insurance. Tutors are encouraged to be up to date on their First Aid, Child Protection and Safe Touch Training. Please also note that to ensure quality across the class programme, all teaching practices will be viewed before employment.
