DanceEast Academy

The DanceEast Academy

A Centre for Advanced Training for the East of England

The DanceEast Academy provides world class, non-residential dance programmes to young people aged 10 - 18 years.

You do not need to have lots of formal dance training although experienced dancers are also welcomed. You will need to demonstrate passion and dedication in dance.

DanceEast Academy classes take place at the Jerwood DanceHouse, Ipswich, on Saturdays (junior level) and Sundays, with mid-week classes in Ipswich, Norwich or Cambridge.

Funded by the Department for Education, the DanceEast Academy offers means tested grants to fund training, dancewear and travel costs. This means that for many, all or part of the training costs are covered.
