Welcome to DanceEast's summer programme of community classes and workshops in an eclectic range of dance styles for people of all ages and abilities. As one of England's leading dance organisations, DanceEast offers a range of opportunities to access dance.
No refunds can be given unless a class is cancelled.
Creative dance for youngsters using props, themes, music and lots of imagination.
Imaginative and expressive dance class for young people to have fun and learn new dance skills.
Phil teaches a funky street jazz class to the latest tunes, combining elements of jazz, hip-hop and funk.
Fun and lively class for young people, learning new skills and working on technique and choreography.
An up-beat, high-energy class that is dynamic and challenging, teaching new skills and choreographic technique.
An energetic and technical class danced to the up-beat rhythms and styles characteristic of jazz, based on Phil's experience working in West End shows.
A fun and energising class, focusing on technique and control to develop flexibility, strength and alignment.
An enjoyable dance form offering a fun workout to authentic music. Learn to move your body with style, gaining fitness and flexibility. Wear loose comfortable clothes and bring a scarf to tie around your hips.
Manon Palmieri teaches gentle Hatha yoga to keep the body supple and flexible. Working with alignment and emphasis on breathing in asana (posture work), visualisation and relaxing. Mats are available but bring a towel or blanket.
A gentle but effective form of overall exercise offering a holistic approach to body conditioning that improves strength, flexibility, joint mobility, balance, co-ordination and postural alignment. Mats are available but bring a towel or blanket.
Using the everyday as an inspiration, these classes give anyone over the age of 55 the chance to enjoy creative and expressive dance in a relaxed environment.
Fun and sociable classes for mums, dads, grandparents and carers to introduce pre-schoolers to dance using stories and musical rhythms.
Keep fit and graceful in ballet classes for adults. Enjoy a safe workout focusing on alignment, posture, co-ordination, musicality and lyricism with live piano accompaniment.
A lively group for people with learning and physical difficulties that provides an opportunity to learn new dance skills and create dances to share. Carers are not required to attend and no previous dance experience is necessary.
