Other opportunities in the East of England
DanceEast Academy
The
DanceEast Academy is one of nine
National Dance CATs (Centres for Advanced Training) aimed at young people aged 10 - 18 who have a talent
in dance. As it is the most intensive and committed of the DanceEast
youth activities, Academy training is suited to those who are ready to
take the next step towards becoming a professional dancer.
New applications are accepted from young people aged 10 - 16 from the
East of England. No formal
dance training is necessary, although experienced dancers are also
welcome to apply. Grant-funding is available to cover training,
transport and dancewear costs.
East Youth Dance
In partnership with Youth Dance England, from April 2011 DanceEast took over the delivery of East Youth Dance.
East Youth Dance promotes youth dance opportunities for children and young people across the East of England. To find out more call 01473 235572.

DanceEast runs
termly sessions for those who teach dance in schools, focusing on practical dance teaching and opportunities for discussion and networking.
