How to find us

Ipswich classes, courses and workshops take place at the new Jerwood DanceHouse, unless otherwise stated. The DanceHouse is situated on the former Cranfields Mill site on the Ipswich waterfront, close to Stoke Bridge.

By car

From A12 Colchester/A14 Cambridge: Head northeast on A12. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto the A14 (E) to Lowestoft/Felixstowe. Merge onto A14. At junction 56, take the A137 exit to Ipswich Central. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A137. Go straight over 3 roundabouts. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A137/Vernon St. Continue to follow A137. At the roundabout go straight over on to the A1022. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit on to Star Lane. Turn right on to Foundation Street. Turn right on to College Street. Turn left on to Foundry Lane. The DanceHouse is situated on the left hand side.

By bus

Catch the Route 15 service from Tower Rampart's Bus Station (every 20 minutes).

By foot

From Ipswich Rail Station: Head east on Ranelagh Rd. Continue on Burrell Rd. Slight left at B1073/Bridge St. Continue to follow Bridge St. Turn right toward Foundry Ln. DanceHouse is situated in front of you.

By bike

Bike racks are available in The Mill car park.

Access to the DanceHouse

  • Please contact the Box Office prior to arrival to discuss your access requirements.
  • The DanceHouse has threshold free access throughout, and there is a lift providing access over all floors of the building.
  • There is a drop off lay-by within 80m of the front door and the main entrance has automatic sliding doors.
  • There are disabled toilets on all floors of the DanceHouse, and an accessible toilet/shower on the ground floor and the second floor.
  • All studios have induction loop hearing systems, and the Studio Theatre has an infra-red hearing system.
  • Disabled car park spaces at The Mill need to be booked in advance by calling RCP on 01603 620720.

  • The Mill residential car park (Onsite, multi-storey off College Street, 7.00am - 10.00pm. Pay point located on the 1st floor)
  • Star Lane (24 hours)
  • Key Street (24 hours)
