With Wayne McGregor | Random Dance
This year, Inspired! focuses on teaching creativity and contemporary technique to young people, ideal for those working with GCSE, GNVQ, BTEC and A Level students.
Multi award-winning Wayne McGregor is one of the world's most inventive choreographers, renowned for his physically testing choreography and ground-breaking collaborations across dance, fi lm, music, visual art, technology and science.
The day will begin with a short talk from Wayne about his company Random Dance and the work they do, as well as his role as National Youth Dance Champion. Kerry Nicholls, Co-Director of Education, will then lead a two hour technique class that will focus on the ways teachers can develop their students' technical skills. This will be followed by a practical session, led by Jasmine Wilson, Co-Director of Education, focusing on the teaching of choreographic techniues.
The day can also include a ticket to see Entity, the latest work by Wayne McGregor | Random Dance, at Snape Maltings Concert Hall that evening, transport will be provided. DanceEast will also provide transport from Ipswich train station to Kesgrave High School for those that require it.
