Our brand new Move | Be Moved Performance Platforms offer you and your group the chance to be a part of a huge dance event for the East of England.
The Platforms offer a fantastic opportunity to meet dancers from across the region and provides an exciting chance to perform in a professional theatre to an audience of up to 200 people.
When is Move | Be Moved?
If selected by the panel your group will perform on either 27 June/28 June/29 June/30 June/ July. Please specify on your application all dates that your group would be able to perform on, and if selected we will offer one of these chosen dates. Please only select dates where you realistically could take part in a whole day of activity.
Where is Move | Be Moved?
The Performance Platforms will take place at the Jerwood DanceHouse, Ipswich in our Studio Theatre.
Who can take part?
DanceEast encourages applications from dance schools, community dance groups, schools and colleges, all styles, ages and abilities. DanceEast also welcomes applications from young choreographers.
Please note: all works submitted must be suitable for family audiences.
About the piece
Dance pieces longer than 7 minutes cannot be accommodated due to the number of groups performing.
How do I apply?
To apply please complete and return the application form to festival@danceeast.co.uk or by post to Charlotte Haddon, DanceEast, Jerwood DanceHouse, Foundry Lane, Ipswich, IP4 1DW. Please ensure that links provided to access online video footage (Vimeo, YouTube or private website) are accessible externally or provide a password. Alternatively DVDs can be sent to the above address. If your work is not yet finished, please submit footage of the work in progress. We will require full and final footage prior to the event should your group be selected by the panel. If you have any issues or queries surrounding providing this filmed footage please get in touch.
