Telling Tales - half term dance for children and free Story Telling with Suffolk Libraries

Telling Tales is for children aged 4+. It is a playful introduction to dance and takes a fresh look at well-loved children's stories.

Look out for a mischievous version of the famous The Hare and the Tortoise story and a speed version of The Golden Goose involving only two dancers but a cast of thousands. In the finale, Sea of Clothes, shirts and skirts take on a dancing life of their own!

The performance is fun, imaginative and accessible, in bite-sized chunks with the chance for inquisitive youngsters to engage directly with the performers and ask questions at the end.

Suffolk Libraries will be providing FREE Story Telling sessions at the Jerwood DanceHouse at 1pm on Friday 19 and Saturday 20 February. There will be fake grass,  big bean bags and a giant piece of cheese to sit on whilst you enjoy the stories from the Telling Tales show and more! There will also be a 'kidszone' with lots of craft activities.

Performance times: 11am & 2pm, Friday 19 and Saturday 20 February

Tickets are £4 for children, £6 for adults, £16 for a Family Ticket (party of 4, must include 1 adult and a least 2 children), to book call the DanceEast Box Office on 01473 295230. Story Telling sessions and the kidszone are free.
