Bag-It! An evening of fun, fashion and pampering!

Bag-It! An evening of fun, fashion and pampering!

Plans are well underway for a fantastic fundraising event at DanceEast on Friday 12 October, 7pm. Bag-It, at the Jerwood DanceHouse in Ipswich will be the fashion event of the season! Guests will be treated  to a glass of bubbly as they arrive which is kindly provided by Adnams before browsing through luxury brands from local boutiques such as Cake & Catwalk, Frippery, Urban Vintage, and Fanny & Frank along with many more. Another special treat will be live music from the glamorous Lili La Scala, who has been delighting audiences worldwide with her gorgeous vintage songs.

There will also be a Powder Room for massages, manicures, and an array of pampering experiences, including hair and make-up demonstrations, showing how to work day and night time looks and styles and our studio theatre will offer activities throughout the evening, including a catwalk show of bags, shoes and accessories.

You will have a chance to win an array of specially selected raffle prizes, or place a bid for our silent auction for that ‘must have’ treat! Also make sure you bring along your vintage treasures, as a Christie’s auctioneer will be on hand on the night to value them!

Gayle Gover the new Head of Development at DanceEast said ‘We are very excited about welcoming everyone to what will unashamedly be a very 'Girlie Night' on Friday 12 October - brave males are of course also welcome!  We have received fantastic support from the Ipswich and Suffolk business community, with over 30 boutique owners displaying a selection of their accessories on the night and also in the catwalk show.  We have a great Fundraising Committee; a group of people who have volunteered a lot of time and effort, including our stylist and models for the show.  Of course a DanceEast event would not be complete without music and dance and there is a programme of live entertainment scheduled, including a dance performance by some of our Academy students.’

The evening is to help raise much needed funds for DanceEast’s community participation and education work within schools, with looked after children and within the wider community.  One of the schemes that the money will help to support is the recently launched Dance on Prescription schemes. The scheme uses a series of free dance classes at DanceEast and one to one sessions with Live Well Suffolk in Ipswich, to help people develop fitter, healthier and happier lifestyles.

Tickets are priced at £15 (£13.50 for groups of 10) and are available from DanceEast at www.danceeast.co.uk or by calling 01473 295230. Event presented by DanceEast Enterprises.
