Dance in education
DanceEast is proud to support the BA (Hons) Dance at University Campus Suffolk, as part of a joint partnership. It also provides studio space for students at Suffolk College and those studying the BTEC Extended Diploma in Performing Arts (Dance) with Ipswich Academy.

This network assists dance artists working in the East of England, from recent graduates to professionals. It serves the region as a means to improve communication and aid the development of new dance work.

Suffolk Dance Teachers' Network
In partnership with DanceEast, East Youth Dance delivers termly sessions for those who teach dance in schools. These focus on practical dance teaching and also provide room for discussion and networking to help teachers feel replenished with new ideas. The group will cater for a wide range of levels of dance teaching experience.

The National Centre of Choreography offers choreographers bespoke opportunities to explore their craft in a ‘lab’ environment with mentors, dancers, choreographers, artists and guests from a range of other art forms.
Each LAB is designed as time for research in a highly focused and intensive two week period (three over 18 months) to explore movement and contexts in ballet and contemporary dance with full production facilities in the state-of-the-art Jerwood DanceHouse.
The third LAB Narrative / Storytelling in Dance will run from Tuesday 2 - Saturday 13 April.

The now internationally recognised Rural Retreats was established by DanceEast in 2003. These sessions bring together guest speakers from the world of business and sport with dance leaders, to share experiences and discuss the place of dance in today's society.
