Funny Bones
Friday 11 June, 6.00pm and Saturday 12 June, 11.00am, 2.00pm
Jerwood DanceHouse
Funny Bones is a new double bill of contemporary dance, choreographed
by Enrique Cabrera and Luca Silvestrini. Enticing children aged 5yrs+
and their families into a world of dance and movement, Funny Bones is a fifty minute interactive
and sensory in-the-round performance by a company of outstanding dancers.
Go!
Choreographed by Luca Silvestrini (Artistic Director, Protein),
Go! is an
imaginative and energetic work of dance-theatre based on the theme of
sport. Entering an unusual arena, the performers move from one sporting
discipline to another, facing victories and defeats, competitions and
challenges. The audience is called to support and take sides, but who
will be the winner?
DanSense
Enrique Cabrera's piece,
DanSense (Artistic Director, Aracaladanza), explores the five senses and
offers a stimulating interactive dance experience for young audiences,
featuring newly commissioned music. From costumes adorned with plastic
spoons, to buckets filled with water that soak the dancers (and the
audience!), this is a beautifully creative piece that will have
children intrigued from start to finish.
Tickets: £6 (£4 concessions)
Family Ticket: £16 (party of 4, must include at least 1 adult and 2 children)
