Inspired!
Friday 24 February, 9.15am - 3.45pm
A dance toolkit for the Olympics, with Wayne McGregor | Random Dance.
A practical teacher training day open to those who are responsible for delivering dance in and out of school settings.
The day will include a welcome from Adam Baker, Suffolk Project Manager for the London 2012 Games, and Liz Hughes, Creative Programmer - East of England London 2012, looking at ways in which people can get involved with the Olympics.
Wayne McGregor will provide an introduction about the philosophy behind Big Dance and the creative possibilities surrounding it. Wayne McGregor | Random Dance will then lead two practical sessions; one looking at the Big Dance School Pledge with ideas for developing and progressing the dance material; the other looking at resources from the Olympic Archive and using images and text as a stimuli for making movement.
