This fun and energetic class focuses on developing contemporary and performance techniques.
Suitable for all abilities, each session will start with a warm up, followed by some practicing or technique, some travelling sequences and a routine which will be developed throughout the term.
Contemporary Dance can be danced to any style of music and combined with any other dance style to create new movement. It seeks to use the natural alignment of the body and promotes ease of movement, making it accessible to beginners as well as allowing more experienced dancers to push the boundaries of their dance training.
Designed for those with little or no previous experience in ballet or contemporary dance, these sessions are an easy and fun way of exploring a more disciplined dance style in a relaxed environment.
