Open to all abilities, enhance your technique whilst improving and maintaining a high level of stamina, strength and flexibility.
Contemporary dance is not associated with specific dance techniques, but rather with a dance philosophy; people attempt to explore the natural energy and emotions of their bodies to produce dances.
The open class begins with a warm up followed by technique practice and travelling exercises. The class will finish with a sequence incorporating the technique learnt during the session. Contemporary will involve a great deal of playing with balance, floorwork, fall and recovery, and some improvisation.
