Improve your stamina, strength, and flexibility with our contemporary technique class, using the breath to initiate and find a sense of flow through our movement.
The class will begin with an easy warm up to get your body ready to move, followed by a series of phrases and exercises that focus on different parts of the body. These phrases and exercises will be used to create a final, longer sequence that will incorporate the skills learnt during the class. Your confidence will also improve, helped by building on phrases each week.
This class is recommended for beginners and those with less than 2 years’ experience in contemporary, or for those who have not attended a contemporary class for several years.
We also offer Advanced Contemporary. If you are unsure which class level is appropriate for you, please don’t hesitate to contact our friendly Box Office Team on 01473 295230 who would be happy to advise you.
Participants should wear clothes that they are comfortable moving in and bring a reusable bottle of water. Water fountains can be found on the ground floor and 1st floor of the building. Shoes should be removed for class and participants should wear socks or participate bare foot.
If you would like to familiarise yourself with the building before your visit, you can download our Visual Story here or take a Virtual Tour here.
