Egyptian Belly Dance

Learn basic Belly Dancing through controlled technique, movements and sequential routines.

Egyptian Belly Dancing is a gentle form of exercise with movements which particularly work the lower back and pelvis helping to maintain flexibility, improve strength, posture and coordination and lubricate muscles. The class begins with a gentle warm up, followed by Belly Dance technique and a fun routine. Shake off the stresses of everyday life and liberate yourself in this easy to learn, calorie burning dance class.

I have been dancing and teaching Belly Dance for over 10 years and love bringing this wonderful dance form to a wider audience. My dance name is Zahara and I also have a troupe called Zahara Belly Dance.

What to wear

We ask that you have bare feet for this class. You may wish to bring a scarf to tie around your hips and once you have attended a few classes you may like to purchase a traditional costume, although this is optional.
