Hip Hop (11-16yrs)

Perfect your technique and performance and incorporate it into choreography set to the latest tracks.

Each hip hop session at DanceEast begins with an aerobic warm up, followed by technique exercises and a routine. The main focus is on perfecting technique and performance as well as having great fun and keeping active. Each week the group will work towards developing choreography, increasing confidence and encouraging creativity.

Rikkai Scott

Rikkai Scott trained at London Contemporary Dance School and graduated in 2012. Rikkai toured and taught with Amsterdam based De Kiss Moves Fusion Dance Company from 2012 - 2014. In 2016, he travelled to Barbados as a solo artist representing his home town (Bermuda) at the Carifesta Festival. Rikkai has worked with Avant Garde Dance as a participant teacher for Fagin Twist in 2017, award-winning hip hop dance company Boy Blue Entertainment at the Nostos Festival 2019 in Greece, Jean Abreu Dance, 201 Dance Company, Richard Alston Dance Company for LCDC 3rd year tour and Michaela Cisarikova Dance Collective.

Rikkai has taught extensively throughout his career in education in Bermuda and to professionals. In 2016, Rikkai founded his own professional tap fusion company called BDblaq Dance. BDblaq have toured and instructed intensive workshops both nationally and internationally as well as being nominated as the top 5 finalist of the Festival 10 Sentidos competition in Valencia.
