INTRODUCTION TO PILATES

18yrs+...

This course is for participants who are new or have a little experience in attending Pilates classes but wishing to attend to gain strength and flexibility.

This class begins with a series of basic movements, and you will be talked through the breathing, working your way through the whole of the body. If you join us for a Pilates class, you can expect to improve both your strength and flexibility and enjoy a period of relaxation too.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR CLASS

You should wear anything that you feel comfortable to move in and that is non-restrictive e.g. leggings, tracksuit bottoms or workout gear. It’s best if you wear socks and try not to wear trainers. You will need an exercise mat for this class for example, a yoga mat. It will also be great if you could bring two suitable, small dumbbells that you feel comfortable lifting.

Make sure you have water to hand, it’s important to stay hydrated!

COURSE DATES

This term runs from the week commencing 25 April to the week commencing 4 July, breaking for Half Term during the week commencing 30 May
