Let’s Move! – A national dance summer school presented by DanceEast and The Place
Join us this summer as we bring together some of the UK’s leading dance artists and organisations for an online summer dance course.
DanceEast and The Place have teamed up with DanceXchange, National Dance Company Wales, Pavilion Dance South West and Phoenix Dance Theatre to bring you high quality dance training direct to your own home!
Let’s Move! will take place over three days (Wednesday 12 – Friday 14 August) and each day you will take part in two different workshops taught over Zoom.
Over the course of the week you will have:
– Daily warm-ups with all summer school participants
– Two workshops (one hour each) per day in smaller groups
– Six workshops in total (one with each of the partner organisations)
– Various tasks, challenges and activities throughout the week
– The opportunity to connect with other young dancers from across the UK
All you have to decide is whether to join us in the morning or in the afternoon! Morning sessions will run from 9.30am – 12.30pm and afternoon sessions will run from 1.00pm – 4.00pm. Please note, you must commit to all three morning sessions or all three afternoon sessions.

Recommended age: 8-17 years (participants will be grouped by age)
Important: Participant data will be shared between The Place and DanceEast for planning and Safeguarding purposes. This information will only be used in relation to the Summer School to ensure participant enjoyment and safety throughout. Neither organisation (or the other partner organisations) will use your information for any other purpose unless you have chosen to hear from them for marketing purposes.

National Dance Company Wales | Based in Cardiff

Pavilion Dance South West | Based in Bournemouth
Pavilion Dance South West believes that dance is for everyone and it is dedicated to transforming communities through dance. Based in a wonderful historic seafront building, PDSW has two dance studios for classes and rehearsals and a 192 seat theatre for live shows.
Phoenix Dance Theatre | Based in Leeds
Phoenix Dance Theatre is the UK’s longest-standing contemporary dance company outside of London.
