JUNIORS CREATIVE DANCE 8-11 YEARS | MONDAY

These classes are an energetic, creative introduction to dance and movement. Children are encouraged to be creative and imaginative whilst experiencing a range of different styles throughout the term, including contemporary, ballet, musical theatre, and street dance. Appropriate challenges and modifications will be offered to encourage juniors to realise their full potential.

Led by an experienced dance artist, junior dancers can expect to:

• Improve strength, coordination and flexibility
• Develop confidence and dance technique
• Explore a range of dance styles
• Have fun in a structured, supported space

This class is for children aged 8 to 11 years.

Your child should wear clothes that they  are comfortable moving in and bring a reusable bottle of water. Water fountains can be found on the ground floor and 1^st floor of the building. Shoes should be removed for class and participants should wear socks or participate bare foot.

Please note that parents and carers should not be in the studio during the class but are welcome to wait for their children in our café or foyer spaces.

Bursary places are available for this class. DanceEast have been awarded funding from Ipswich Borough Council to launch the DanceEast Bursary Fund. The fund is intended for young people from low-income households, who love to dance or would like to try dance for the first time, and who would otherwise not be able to afford a term’s worth of dance activity.
