This class will focus on ballet technique, whilst improving your core strength, posture, coordination, and flexibility. You will learn the French terminology for ballet moves, and each move will be explained in English too.
Each class will begin with barre work to warm up and to practice the techniques and positions needed for centre work. The second half of the class moves into the centre to practice a mixture of turns and small allegro (jumping) moves, before ending with a slow and gentle stretch on the floor.
Make sure you have water to hand, it’s important to stay hydrated! If you are a beginner, you may wish to look up the basic ballet positions of the feet and the arms before you join the class.
This class is recommended for beginners and those with less than 2 years’ experience in ballet, or for those who have not attended a ballet class for several years.
We also offer a Level 2 ballet class. If you are unsure which class level is appropriate for you, please don’t hesitate to contact our Sales & Admin Team who would be happy to advise you.
*There is no class during half term – week commencing 24 October.
