Ashtanga is a set sequence of postures that is energetic and synchronises breath with movements.
The focus is on synchronising breath and movement – which becomes a moving meditation as you become more familiar with the sequence. There will then be time at the end for a blissful relaxation.
If you join us for an Ashtanga Yoga class you will gain strength and flexibility, and greater body awareness. This class is also an opportunity to focus inward, away from everyday distractions.
You don’t need prior yoga experience; however, you do need a level of fitness. There are no rest periods throughout the class, but if you’re prepared to sweat and work hard then this is for you!
*There is no class during half term – week commencing 24 October.
