Kaia Goodenough has been appointed as our first Junior Associate Artist. Kaia trained with DanceEast CAT before going on to further her training at London Studio Centre graduating in 2016 with Intoto Dance Company. Since graduating she has been working as a freelance choreographer and rehearsal director creating her first work ‘Abstract Romanticism’ which premiered at The Place Resolution 2017. Since then her work has gone on to be performed at Battersea Arts Centre and The Point Eastleigh as well as being commissioned for various film projects. Most recently Kaia has been collaborating with poets, and writing herself, creating work fuelled by feminist theories in 21st century living. Her aim is to open a conversation and address these themes with light humour for men and women.
"I am really looking forward to working with DanceEast as having such a supportive team is a blessing and so rare in these early stages of my career, enabling me to explore my work much deeper whilst being surrounded by all the experience of the other associate artists."
