DANCEEAST CELEBRATES THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS WITH A DIWALI DISCO FOR CHILDREN

Join DanceEast at their first Diwali themed Baby Loves to Boogie disco. On Sunday 28 October, enjoy a fun-filled morning of dancing, arts and crafts activities and face-painting, suitable for families with children under five.

DanceEast are working in partnership with Sanskruti Dance, formed by Krishna Zivraj-Nair to deliver this family friendly event. Krishna is an Indian classical dancer and choreographer, trained in the dance form of Bharatanatyam. She has recently received One Dance UK’s Dance Teachers’ Mentoring award for her to further develop her school and dance company.

The Baby Loves to Boogie disco which will run from 10am – 12pm and include Carnatic music as well as small movement demonstrations taught by Krishna. The arts and crafts activities will include making traditional cardboard diyas and designing Rangoli floor patterns. There will also be peacocks to decorate with beads, colour and glitter, allowing for lots of messy fun from 12pm – 1pm.
