DANCEEAST CAT STUDENT THROUGH TO AUTISM’S GOT TALENT!

02 Feb 2017

DanceEast Centre for Advanced Training student Liam Burgess has been selected for this years’ Autism’s Got Talent!

This May, Autism’s Got Talent celebrates their fourth year at the Mermaid Theatre in London. The spectacular event showcases amazingly talented performances by adults and children with autism. The performers, which will consist of singers, actors, musicians and dancers, will fly the flag for autism and show what people with autism and Asperger syndrome are capable of.

“It is always such a pleasure to see our students putting themselves forward for events such as Autism’s Got Talent and we are very proud that Liam has got this far. He is a young performer with such potential, especially in the creative industries and his participation in the event will allow him to hone his skills and build his confidence. We wish him every success!” – Elsa Urmston (CAT Manager)

“Autism, like many issues, is often shrouded with negativity and negative press. Autism’s Got Talent provides a platform and great opportunity to distinguish this, and replace it with hope, fun, laughter and positivity. Not only does it provide a springboard, it also boosts confidence and social skills and creates new friendships for both adults and children.” – Anna Kennedy (OBE, founder of Autism’s Got Talent).

Good luck Liam!
