Are you 18+ years, vibrant, sociable, looking to develop new skills and meet new people?
Come along to an Open Evening for Volunteer Ushers and Tutor Assistants on Wednesday 8 June at 7pm at the Jerwood DanceHouse.
Volunteer Ushers and Tutor Assistants make up a vital part of the DanceEast team and help to create a welcoming and accessible atmosphere for everyone visiting the Jerwood DanceHouse. If you or someone you know would like to help meet and greet audiences at performances or help with dance classes in a range of styles please contact Sam on sam.biscoe@danceeast.co.uk or 01473 295230.
There is a fantastic year-round performance programme featuring some of the world’s leading dance companies alongside emerging artists and local talent. DanceEast also runs one of the country’s most successful Centres for Advanced Training as well as a hugely popular mixed programme of weekly classes.
Volunteer Ushers are responsible for greeting guests visiting DanceEast for a performance, ensuring that everyone is having a great evening and helping resolve any issues with the Duty Manager. Ushers also get to experience the performance while looking out for the safety of the audience and performers.
Volunteer Tutor Assistants will become part of the class programme by assisting Core Tutors, motivating and encouraging good behaviour in younger participants and enjoying taking part in a fun dance class led by a qualified professional.
Becoming a volunteer for DanceEast is a great way to meet new people and gain new skills and experience. Volunteers need to be flexible and personable, but most of all be willing to participate and work as a team!
DanceEast encourages volunteers to continue their personal development and get the best out of their experience, so volunteers will enjoy complimentary tickets and discounted tickets for friends and family plus further benefits.
Come along to the Open Evening to find out more! Please RSVP to Sam Biscoe, sam.biscoe@danceeast.co.uk or 01473 295230.
