DanceEast is joining a team of eleven arts organisations in Ipswich to partner with Eastern Angles on an exciting new Creative Career Bursary scheme in the town. Boost Creative Career Bursaries will create paid work experience opportunities in the arts organisations across the town, giving individuals the chance to further their professional development and boost their creative careers with a bursary of at least £1,500, which will be match funded by a We Are Ipswich member organisation.
Boost Creative Career Bursaries will be awarded to creatives who are at the beginning of their creative careers and who have little to no previous professional experience in the arts. The scheme will match individuals with a partner arts organisation in the form of a paid work experience opportunity. The specific experience will be tailored to the individuals.
Lucy Bayliss, Head of Creative Programmes says: “The Boost: Creative Career Bursaries are a fantastic opportunity for creatives at the start of their careers to further their professional development and gain experience of working in an arts organisation.
