We are delighted to announce that our over-50s performance company EncoreEast have been selected to perform at the Elixir Festival at Sadler’s Wells for the second time.
Established in 2014, the Elixir Festival is a unique event celebrating lifelong creativity and the contribution of older artists. The Elixir Festival 2017 contains KnowBody ||, Elixir Extracts, Elixir Workshops, The Elixir Conference and 7 Dialogues. EncoreEast will perform in Elixir Extracts at the festival in June.
Led by Mary Davies, EncoreEast works towards many different performance projects throughout the year, devising original material through the creative exploration of various choreographic approaches.
Pamela Candler, a participant of EncoreEast commented ‘’Speaking for myself, though I suspect the whole group would feel the same, I can only say that I was delighted and excited to hear we will once more be able to participate in the Elixir Festival. Having previously been selected to take part we awaited the news with anxiety fearing we may not be chosen again. So, it was with great joy that we received the confirmation recently and we are really looking forward to the event and the chance to be able to dance at Sadlers Wells along with many other groups from different parts of the country.
