FREE WORKSHOPS FOR YOUTH DANCE GROUPS

30 May 2018

DanceEast is offering a chance to take part in a series of three, one-day workshops for young dance groups and their group leaders. The Open Workshops are part of a programme of activity developed to celebrate the U.Dance National Festival taking place in Ipswich at the Jerwood DanceHouse this year. Follow along with all activity on social media with #EastYouthDance.

The workshops are designed to give young dance groups in the region a chance to have first-class dance tuition in fantastic studio spaces. The workshop days are also an opportunity for everyone to come together and share their enthusiasm for dance. Working alongside their leaders, groups will learn new skills that can continue to be developed in their regular classes.

These free one-day workshops are open to youth dance companies and extracurricular groups between the ages of 11 – 19 years, (up to 24 years for those with additional needs) joined by their group leaders.

U.Dance National Festival was hosted by DanceEast at the Jerwood DanceHouse in 2018. U. Dance National Festival is a platform for the best youth dance talent in the UK coming together over a weekend to share workshops and perform.
