Halloween Funday at DanceEast is sure to deliver more than a few spine-tingling thrills

10 Oct 2014 | DanceEast

This Halloween DanceEast is hosting a delightfully gruesome event, on Sunday 26 October, with a range of spooky-themed activities for the whole family to enjoy together at the Jerwood DanceHouse, Ipswich.

The day starts with the return of the much-loved and hugely successful Baby Loves To Boogie Children’s Disco, last seen at the DanceHouse at Maritime Festival. This daytime dance party for parents/guardians with babies, toddlers and children up to 5years comes complete with a DJ and is guaranteed to get you and your little ones moving and grooving – all at a baby-friendly volume so the whole family can party together. You had better start practicing your moves to the Monster Mash!

For children aged 4 –16years there will be a multitude of fun dance workshops all with a special Halloween twist. Set off on a magical journey in the Wizards and Witches workshop, learn dances inspired from the Michael Jackson musical Thriller or learn repertoire from our forthcoming production of Dracula with Mark Bruce Company.

The Halloween Funday is a great value family day out; ticket price includes entrance to the Baby Loves to Boogie Disco as well as games, face painting, creepy arts and crafts sessions and spooky story times. Dressing up is optional but highly recommended!

This event is part of Family Arts Festival, the first UK-wide festival of art events which are designed with families in mind. The Family Arts Festival is part of a bigger programme, supported by the arts industry and funded by the Arts Council England, which aims to support organisations in providing high quality events for families.
