DANCEEAST CENTRE FOR ADVANCED TRAINING

Students from the DanceEast Centre for Advanced Training perform a mixed bill of original works commissioned by some of the most influential national and international choreographers, including Antonia Francheschi (New York City Ballet, Grease, Fame), Tamsin Fitzgerald (2 Faced Dance Company), Katie Green (Made by Katie Green), Yael Flexer (Flexer and Sandiland), Amit Lahav and Helen Baggett (Gecko), Tim Casson (Casson and Friends), Antony Missen (Company Chameleon), Cameron MacMillan (Rambert Dance Company, English National Ballet, Sydney Dance Company), and Joseph Toonga (Winner of the DanceEast Choreographic Award 2015).

Based at the Jerwood DanceHouse, the DanceEast Centre for Advanced Training is one of nine national dance organisations offering part-time, non-residential, professional dance training to young people from aged 10 – 18 years of age with exceptional potential in dance.

With funding from the Department for Education’s Music and Dance Scheme, the DanceEast Centre for Advanced Training develops students’ talent through a pioneering programme, creating and inspiring future generations of world-class dancers and choreographers.
