An unforgettable film and television franchise, Fame – The Musical, inspired generations to pull on their legwarmers and light up the sky like a flame! Conceived and developed by David De Silva, this high-octane show features an Academy Award-winning title song and a host of other catchy pop numbers. The story follows a class of students determined that the world will remember their name as they progress through New York’s celebrated High School for the Performing Arts, from admission to graduation four years later. Their struggles and triumphs have now been imagined anew for the 21st century by a cast of students from St Joseph’s College Ipswich. The talented youngsters will plot their own star course, showcasing dancing, singing, acting, rapping and musicianship. As ever, this St Jo’s musical production will feature a large professional band, plus superb lighting, an awe-inspiring set and brilliant costumes.
