From Tuesday 8 December, looking out on to Foundry Lane from the Jerwood DanceHouse, there will be an interactive dance window display where you take control. You will be able to interact with the dance on the screen through your own movements in an experience that is suitable for everyone – so come on down with your social bubble or keep an eye out as you walk along the waterfront, you won’t want to miss this. Use #DigitalSolstice to share your experience with us and the creators!
The installation explores the Winter Solstice and the various festivals that bring us together this time of year. The project is performed by local professional dancers, (including graduates from our Centre for Advanced Training and our hip hop tutor!), creating something very special that is close to our hearts.
So, let’s come together to celebrate the end of a very long year and the coming of light.

The filming of the installation took place in our newly established Digital Suite, which you can read more about here.
