DanceEast presents a diverse programme of world-class performances that include national and international dance artists and companies, emerging artists and young people.

Artists are at the heart of our work and a range of support is provided for artists at all stages of their career, including an Associate Artists scheme, a Choreographic Development Fund and extensive commissioning programme. DanceEast is also a partner in the National Dance Network and the European DanceHouse Network, both of which work to increase opportunities for artists and audiences.

The Artistic Team meet regularly to discuss the strands of the Creative Programme and DanceEast and Programming decisions are made based on:

  • The quality of the work
  • The suitability and relevance to our audience
  • How/If the work relates to the wider DanceEast programmes
  • Programme suitability and current programming objectives
  • National curriculums

If you would like your work to be considered for programming, please email including a video link to your work and why you are interested in presenting it at DanceEast. We endeavour to respond to all emails within three weeks of receipt.
