These are certainly testing times for all and we wish everyone well during the challenging days, weeks and months ahead.
Covid-19 is changing the way we work and the way we interact and connect with others. Without all of you, DanceEast wouldn’t be the wonderful, vibrant and supportive community that it is, so we are developing new ways of working to ensure we can all continue to enjoy great dance. To keep everyone moving we have introduced a new timetable of free online dance classes, Home is where the dance is. We are using our social media channels to keep in touch and share some amazing dance – along with behind the scenes insights into the many artists and dance companies we work with.
It is hard to believe that just last year, we were celebrating 10 amazing years of the Jerwood DanceHouse – a place we are proud to call home. Whilst the building is currently closed and the immediate future is uncertain, we are determined to get through this and return to our dance home as soon as circumstances allow, so that we can once again bring world class dance to the east.
However, these are undoubtedly difficult times for arts and cultural organisations and as a charity facing a considerable loss of income, we rely on the generosity of supporters to survive. If you can, please consider supporting DanceEast during this time of adversity, to help secure our future.
With your help and support, we will provide dance opportunities for all, now and in the future. Every bit helps, so if you are able please consider donating the sum you would have spent on a dance class or a ticket to Dance in Perpetuity here.
If you can give a little more and more frequently, please consider joining us as a Friend, Best Friend or Patron and together we will secure the future of dance.
We are incredibly thankful to all our supporters but none more so than now – we very much look forward to seeing you in the Jerwood DanceHouse again soon.
