Cultivating the Spirit for Better Health

All our students start by learning our Tai Chi set, a gentle set of 108 movements and associated exercises that promote health and well-being for adults of all ages and in all health conditions. The benefits can include: improved circulation, balance and posture; increased strength and flexibility; and reduced stress. With regular practice, the effects reach deep inside to benefit the entire body including the tendons, joints, spine, connective tissue and internal organs, and help restore the calmness and peace of mind that is often lost through daily life.

Although not a substitute for medical treatment, our Tai Chi can help to improve the health and quality of life of people living with a wide range of health problems such as poor circulation, high blood pressure, arthritis, back pain, joint immobility, respiratory problems, digestive disorders, Parkinson’s disease, and multiple sclerosis.

The Taoist Tai Chi Society of Great Britain is part of the International Taoist Tai Chi Society, founded in 1970 by Master Moy Lin-Shin, a Taoist monk, after he emigrated from China to Canada. He devoted the remainder of his life to helping people restore and maintain their health, and the organisation that he founded now spreads his work in more than 500 locations in 28 countries. The Society is a registered charity whose accredited instructors teach on a voluntary basis, following the example set by our Founder.

We have been running Tai Chi classes in Suffolk for over 20 years and are the original and only authentic source for Master Moy’s teachings.
