Wayne McGregor | Random Dance
Snape Maltings Concert Hall
DanceEast and Aldeburgh Music continue the hugely successful Snape Dances series with Sadler’s Wells Associate Artist Wayne McGregor’s latest work Atomos.
Atomising bodies, movement, film, sound and light into miniature shards of intense sensation, Atomos is the newest work by cutting-edge contemporary choreographer Wayne McGregor.
Known for his unique, tenacious questioning across the interface of art and science and through the body and mind, McGregor has remained at the forefront of contemporary arts for the past 20 years.
Ten incredible dancers perform McGregor’s unique style – sculptural, rigorous, jarring and hauntingly beautiful.
He is accompanied by a team of sensational artists including longtime collaborators lighting designer Lucy Carter and filmmaker Ravi Deepres, along with costumes by the ground-breaking designers of wearable technologies, Studio XO. Neo-classical ambient composers A Winged Victory For The Sullen provide the soaring score.
