Work Experience and Work Placements
DanceEast is pleased to offer work experience to Year 10 students; and work placements for young people aged 16 – 25. It’s an ideal way to get invaluable experience working in a professional dance setting.
All requests are carefully considered based on how they can support our current programmes of work. Due to the high number of requests, acceptance is not guaranteed.
Technical work experience
DanceEast also offers technical work experience for students who wish to learn more about lighting, sound and stage management. Applicants for technical work experience must be aged 16+ and interested in concentrating on technical theatre work. This placement is highly practical and is likely to involve evening work.
The technical work experience form should ideally be completed electronically and emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org with “Technical work experience application” in the subject line; or sent by post to Work Experience, Jerwood DanceHouse, Foundry Lane, Ipswich IP4 1DW.
DanceEast also accepts requests for work placements from undergraduate and post-graduate students, aged 18 and over. Applications are considered throughout the year.
