CENTRE FOR ADVANCED TRAINING LATE AUDITIONS

We’re hosting some late auditions to join us in September 2021! The auditions will take place on Saturday 18 September at DanceEast, Jerwood DanceHouse, Ipswich.

Our auditions are free to attend and designed so that everyone can take part, regardless of previous dance experience. Applications are accepted from young people, aged 10-16 years on point of entry in September, from across the East of England.

Everyone who submits this form will take part in our Late Audition at the Jerwood DanceHouse, successful applicants will then be invited to join the DanceEast CAT, enrolling for the Autumn term.

Please note that the CAT 2021 Late Audition is open for students who qualify for a Music and Dance Scheme full or part grant, as detailed below.

FUNDED PLACES

Music and Dance Scheme (MDS) Grants are available to those whose household income sit within the relevant income brackets, featured on our website under Costs and Funding.

  •    MDS Full Grant (Relevant household income up to £31,139)
  •    MDS Grant Part Grant  ( Relevant household income of £31,140 – £68,506)

Please note, to qualify for a grant the applicant must have been resident in the British Islands for three years prior, be a member of the European Economic Area or Switzerland or be a refugee of the child of a refugee (conditions apply).

 

WHAT TO EXPEXT AT THE AUDITION

The audition will include three short classes which will show you what kind of dance we do, and give you a chance to show us your favourite ways of dancing and working in the studio. The auditions are designed to be as accessible and fun as possible, so you don’t need to have any previous dance experience!

The 2021 Late Audition will be held in person at the Jerwood DanceHouse, Foundry Lane, Ipswich IP4 1DW.
