If you take part in the regional U.Dance event you could also be selected to perform at U.Dance 2015, the national youth dance festival taking place from the 22-25 July in Plymouth. The festival will bring together young dancers from across the UK to perform, take part in workshops and celebrate dance. Who can apply?
Youth dance groups with members aged 11-19 years on 25 July 2015 (disabled young people up to the age of 25 years). All dance styles are welcome.
What is it all about?
U.Dance East 2015 will celebrate and showcase excellence in youth dance from across the region. The event is a great opportunity for groups from across the region to come together to do workshops, share their creativity and be inspired by each other.
Successful applicants will have the fantastic opportunity to take part in the day long event on Sunday 22 February 2015 at the Jerwood DanceHouse, Ipswich, home of DanceEast. The day will not only allow groups to perform their piece but to take part in additional activity throughout the day, including workshops.
The regional event will also act as a selection platform for U.Dance 2015, the national youth dance festival, taking place 22-25 July in Plymouth.
