DanceEast’s home is the buzzy Jerwood DanceHouse, a purpose-built building on Ipswich’s waterfront. Following a successful capital campaign, the DanceHouse opened its doors to the public in October 2009.
This beautiful facility houses classes, performances and other activities for people to enjoy. We are proud of our amazing building and want to share it with everyone. With easy transport links to London, you will find:

Ideally suited to a wide range of events including performances, AGMs, meetings, product launches, award ceremonies, corporate hospitality and parties, the Jerwood DanceHouse is an inspiring, adaptable and accessible building.
Our three studios have wall barres, mirrors and cubby-holes for bags. Each enjoys natural ventilation with operable windows and mechanical comfort cooling when required. The James Hehir studio theatre, our largest space, is ideal for performances and group activities as well as conferences and seminars. Our digital suite is a state-of-the-art facility suited to both recording and live broadcast.

Price is on application (based on hourly rate) and various rates apply for artists, commercial, artistic, charitable and government funded organisations. Please note that as we run a regular programme of classes, studio space is subject to availability.
