MOTION EXHIBITON

16 Nov 2016

Pop My Mind have partnered with DanceEast to host a stunning exhibition of artworks entitled Motion, coming to the Jerwood DanceHouse this November.

Pop My Mind is a local organisation that DanceEast has been working closely with. The Pop My Mind website is an online hub for artists of all disciplines to produce new work in response to each other’s art, making the hub a springboard for fresh ideas and dynamic creativity. Pop My Mind have been uploading dance photography and promotional videos from DanceEast’s summer and autumn seasons to the website, encouraging their members to create an artistic response. These responses will be displayed at this exhibition – showcasing our exciting new relationship which intends to connect art forms and disciplines amongst young aspiring artists.

All the works exhibited in MOTION are brand new and have been created specifically in response to dynamic performances shown at DanceEast over the last few months – including shows by Candoco Dance Company, Company Chameleon and 2Faced Dance.

The exhibition will take place in the Whistler Gallery at DanceEast, from the 25th – 28th November at 10am – 5pm daily. Join Pop My Mind for the exhibition launch, which will be on Thursday 24th October at 6:30pm – 9pm and will feature live artwork and complimentary drinks.

Are you a creative? Have the chance to be featured in this exhibition by contacting Laurel at laurel@popmymind.com and creating a piece of artwork in response to DanceEast’s performances before 4th November.

Are you a business / business person? Pop My Mind are looking for commercial sponsorship for this event in return for promotion and marketing.
