Moving Minds

Moving Minds is a creative dance and movement session designed to support and improve mental health and wellbeing, as well as build social interaction.

A safe and supportive space is created, in which it feels comfortable to explore movement and express yourself with increasing creativity and freedom. We have fun in the process as we move independently and collaborate with others. It is a session in which everything is voluntary, so there is no pressure on anyone to ‘perform’ – the goal is to learn about the art of creative dance while developing movement skills, awareness of good alignment and safe practice, progressing at our own individual pace & physical ability.

This term, sessions will take place via Zoom, running weekly on a Wednesday at 10.30-11.30am, with some time afterwards for participants to stay online and chat.

This class is for adults. No previous dance experience is needed; anyone who feels drawn to the idea of creative dance and movement as a way of supporting their wellbeing & mental health is welcome.

Inside Out are able to provide support to access Zoom, should this be required.

You should wear anything that you feel comfortable to move in and that is non-restrictive e.g. leggings, tracksuit bottoms or workout gear. Make sure you have water to hand, it’s important to stay hydrated.
