Fourteen talented DanceEast Centre for Advanced Training students will be taking to the stage at Gary Avis & Friends’ Dance for Suffolk gala performances at Ipswich Regent this weekend.

DanceEast Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) is the most intensive of DanceEast’s youth activities. As one of ten national Centre for Advanced Training centres, this world class, non-residential dance programme supports and nurtures gifted and talented young people aged 10-18 years, who wish to pursue a career in dance.

Selected CAT students will perform Brim, a group work choreographed by Antonia Franceschi and inspired by unity and joy in movement, being “filled to the brim” with inspiration.

The Dance for Suffolk gala performances will feature an all-star cast from The Royal Ballet and a specially created programme of Royal Ballet classics, hosted by BBC Strictly Come Dancing’s Anton du Beke.

Needless to say the DanceEast CAT students are extremely excited to be a part of what will be one of the national dance events of the year!
