DanceEast is excited to host our Dance Day during October Half Term, for young people aged between 10-16 years.
This will be a day filled with fun and exciting practical workshops for young dancers to come together and share their creativity. Vanhulle Dance Theatre will host a workshop based on their most recent performance; Dovetail – an incredible duet that’s full of athletic lifts and tricks. They will deliver a workshop with Contemporary and Martial Arts influences. This workshop will be high energy, physical and creative. You will also get to work with Isaac James and take part in a special Breaking workshop, you will focus on the technicalities and movement style of Breaking and learn more about Isaac’s Hip Hop technique.
Both workshops will give young people a chance to develop their confidence, be creative, get moving and to try something new (or hone an existing skill)!
There will also be a focus on performance and creativity, with young people having time to share what they got up to with other young dancers and be given a chance to watch inspiring performances from Vanhulle Dance Theatre and the DanceEast Centre for Advanced Training (CAT).
This project is designed to give you the opportunity to participate, and watch dance with other like-minded people. It’s a day to have fun, try something new, work with others, and explore creativity in a safe and supportive environment.
Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to unleash your inner dancer!
