About the Choreographers
Jose Agudo
Jose Agudo is a choreographer, performer, and dance educator based in London, working internationally across dance, physical theatre, and contemporary performance. His work is deeply rooted in formal flamenco training and reimagined through a contemporary lens, placing tradition into dialogue with the present. Jose started his career in Andalusia where he began performing as a Flamenco dancer. Slowly the world of contemporary dance became more visible as he worked throughout Europe performing with Metros, Charleroi/Danses, Ballet de Marseille, T.R.A.S.H, Shobana Jeyasingh Dance and Akram Khan Company. As assistant choreographer and rehearsal director. Jose has worked on several creations for Akram Khan Company from 2010 to 2017. Including the Olympics 2012 Opening Ceremony.
Jose will work with the graduating students on his repertoire CARMEN will always be free – a powerful and joyful celebration of movement, rhythm, and collective energy. The work draws from flamenco footwork, musicality, and emotional intensity, while opening space for freedom, individuality, and play.

Faye Tan
“A little bit about me: I am Singaporean and I now live in Wales. I have a decade of experience working as a full-time dancer with repertoire dance companies National Dance Company Wales and Frontier Danceland (a
company in Singapore). I have worked with over thirty choreographers from all over the world as a performer and collaborator in new creations and restaged works.
My movement and choreographic practice is nourished by my extensive experiences of working with international choreographers and my explorations of different dance styles, cultures, methods and techniques such as ballet, house, hip hop, popping, locking, acrobatics. My works often embrace the overwhelm and complexities of human emotion, and are often odes to human experiences of the sublime.” – Faye Tan
