Saturday 12 July | 4.30pm – 6.30pm
NYDC are visiting the Jerwood DanceHouse on Saturday 12th July to host a free workshop for dancers aged 16-18 (*up to 24 for those who are d/Deaf or disabled).
About the workshop:
NYDC begins its search for the next intake of young dancers to join the company and work with Alleyne Dance to create a new piece of work from autumn 2025 which will premiere in April 2026. To find these young dancers, NYDC Experience Workshops will be taking place across England from May to July in all regions and the final audition will be held in London at Sadler’s Wells on Saturday 6 September.
The Experience Workshop gives young dancers a taste of what life is like as part of National Youth Dance Company. They work with dancers of all levels of experience and from all dance styles, and look for potential, passion, dedication and a love of performance.
About NYDC:
NYDC create and perform innovative and influential dance, bringing together the brightest talent from across England to work intensively with the Sadler’s Wells renowned Associate Artists and visiting companies. This is done through residencies across the UK during school holidays and a national tour in July. All dancers who are a part of NYDC continue to be active members of their local dance training, while also being wonderful ambassadors of Youth Dance for the country.
